Clashing Feelings...

I feel relieved but still sad
I feel secure but still unwanted 

I feel like I can make it but still tired

I feel the blessing but also the curse

I feel my spirit man's strength but still my flesh's weakness

I feel the realness of my truth but still the shame of my facade 

It's not about what I feel

It's about what I focus on

And for each pair of my clashing feelings

As difficult as it may be

I choose to focus on the feeling
That directs me towards HIM

That directs me towards...

LIFE

LIFE is a battle

Not easily won

"Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit" says the Lord Almighty... Zechariah 4:6

So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature. They are in conflict with each other, so that you do not do what you want... Galatians 5:16-17 

Delicate Flower

Like a delicate flower

Finds the strength

To spring back up slowly

After the rain beats it down,

I find the strength

To spring back up slowly

After my God 

Takes all the Weight

And all the burdens  

I've been carrying

Into HIS own hands

And just like the flower,

I am watered,

refreshed,

And all the more beautiful

At the end of the storm

I am a delicate, beautiful flower

with an indescribable strength

that comes from HIM

And He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness." Therefore; most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me... II Corinthians 13:9  

Let it Go and Head for Life

When you love something

You may have to let it go

And give it time to grow

But don't rely on the hope that it will come back to you

Just rely on your faith that God is in control

That if it is HIS will, HE will bring it back to you refreshed and refined

And if not, HE will bring you a greater, realer, deeper love

So

Let it go

And allow HIM to flow

Because no matter how hard we try to hold on to something

If it is not HIS will or HIS timing, we're headed for misery
Please don't head for misery
You know when it's time to let something go
Don't ignore it
Embrace it
And head for LIFE

"I am" because "HE is"

On the highest, coldest mountain top, I am warm

On the loneliest road, I am accompanied

In my saddest moments, I am comforted

On the rainiest day, I am dry

When my enemies attack, I am protected

After I'm broken down, I am restored

When danger is all around me, I find refuge

While others are lacking, my needs are fulfilled 

 Because...

HE is my warmth

HE is my company

HE is my comforter

HE is my umbrella

HE is my protector

HE is my restorer

HE is my refuge

HE is all I need

HE is my God

and HE sustains me

"I am" because "HE is"

Convince

You shouldn't have to convince someone that you're an amazing person

You shouldn't have to convince someone that you're worth it

You shouldn't have to convince someone that your "struggle" doesn't define who you are

You shouldn't have to convince someone that your "struggle" doesn't have to define your relationship with them

If they are in tune with the God in them, they will be in tune with the God in you

And once this beautiful connection takes place,

"Convincing" is not necessary
